Terms and Payment Options

1. All workers must attend a briefing at 8p.m. on the day of the ball.

Information for Court Supervisors, Security, Cocktail, General and Glass Washing Staff:

2. Work during the ball will be within two time periods: 8.00pm – 2.00am and 2.00am – 7.30am. Those working the second shift may extend their hours to midday for additional payment at the same hourly rate. Court Supervisors are required to work for both shifts, from 8.00pm-7.30am for a sum of £85.
3. There are two payment options for all other workers. The first is a monetary sum collected at the end of the workers shift. The payment will be £40 for the 8-2 or £50 for 2-7.30 (workers for the second shift must attend the briefing at 8.00).
4. The second payment option is a ticket allocation at the price of £85 allowing the recipient to attend the ball as a guest in the time outside their working hours. Please note that workers attending the ball as guests from 8.30-2.00 are not permitted to drink alcoholic beverages.

Information for Set-up and Clear-up Workers:

5. There are two shifts for Set-up Workers: 8.00am-3pm and 3.00pm-8.00pm, both include a one hour lunch/dinner break.
6. There are two payment options for set-up work. The first is a monetary sum collected at the end of the workers shift. The payment will be £40 for both shifts.
7. The second payment option is a ticket allocation at the price of £125 allowing the recipient to attend the ball as a guest at the completion of his/her shift.
8. Clear-up workers will work from 6.30am-12.30pm, on the 22nd of June, for a sum of £40.

Waiting at the Ball:

9. Waiting positions are available at the May Ball this year. Their work will comprise of 3x90minute shifts from 8.30pm-10.00pm, 11.00pm-12.30am and 2.00am-3.30am though these times are subject to change at the discretion of the court supervisor. Previous experience is required for these positions.
